THE STORY · A NEW DESIGN FOR HOW MONEY IS BORN — BUILT BY TRYING TO BREAK IT

What if everything you create paid you back?

Most new money today is born as debt, and it flows to whoever already owns assets. This project tests a different design: money born from verified human creativity — where your data, your work, and your attention quietly pay you every time they're used.

No token. Nothing to buy. Dollars keep working exactly as they do today.

HOW MONEY WORKS TODAY

Money is born as debt. Almost everything else follows.

This isn't a conspiracy, and nobody is hiding it — it's in the textbooks. Nearly all new money enters the world when a bank issues a loan. That single design choice has three quiet consequences:

01

Money is loaned into being

Nearly every new dollar is created when a bank lends, and arrives already owing interest. That supports real credit — but where the new purchasing power lands is decided by who can borrow, and it is rarely the people whose only asset is time.

02

Assets earn. Time doesn't.

New money flows toward people who already own things — property, stock, capital. If all you have to offer is your time and effort, you fall behind by design, not by laziness. Five generations later, 79% of the same families are still on top.

03

Your creativity is free raw material

Everything you write, post, rate, and share is collected, aggregated, and sold — and now used to train AI — while the people who made it are paid nothing. The most valuable new resource on earth is being harvested for free.

None of this needs a villain. It's a design — and designs can be redesigned. The only question worth asking: does a better one survive honest testing?

THE FLIP

What if money were born from creation instead?

That's the experiment. EDEN — an Exploration-Driven Economic Network — is an optional layer on the internet you already use. In it, new money is minted exactly one way: a real, verified human genuinely engaging with real work. Your data, your creations, and your attention become assets that pay you when they're used. And an AI that learns from your work doesn't get it free — it pays you.

The whole thesis in one picture. The unit is called EVE — Equitable Value Exchange. Only people can mint it; it is not a token you can buy.

01

You own a money-making machine

Your data and creations pay you automatically whenever they're used — by a person, a company, or an AI acting on someone's behalf.

How that holds

The archives worth stealing never leave: AI sends questions in and gets answers out, so “used” can't quietly become “taken.” Machines never mint money; they only pay people.

humans mint · machines pay
02

Transparency wins because it earns

Honest, verifiable work simply earns more. Corruption isn't policed away — it runs out of anywhere to hide.

How that holds

Reviews can't be bought or buried, so honesty compounds. In century-scale modeling, transparent markets captured 96% of sales on their own.

reviews can't be bought or buried
03

Science partially funds itself

Failed experiments become paid, visible assets instead of vanishing into a drawer.

How that holds

In modeling, institutions inside discovered at nearly twice the rate — mostly because nobody repeats a dead end.

failure data: paid + visible
04

Earn it to keep it

Wealth and success stay fully possible — they just stop being automatic and inheritable.

How that holds

Income streams are earned, never bought or inherited, so staying on top means continuing to create real value. The result is more movement between top and bottom, not less success.

THE EVIDENCE

We crash-tested it like an airplane. Here's where it broke.

Before any test ran, we wrote down what failure would mean: if the poorest tenth can't afford essentials for three months running, the design fails. Then we spent months trying to make that happen. It broke three times — and every crash is in the open below, originals included.

CRASH №1 — THE BATHTUB

Our own design drowned the poor by month 16.

A faucet that never turns off (every hour of attention mints coins) and a barely-open drain: prices climbed ~10% a year and the bottom tenth went under in the very first simulation — and never recovered.

The fix: a thermostat, not a chairman — a formula in the constitution that slows minting when money outruns real goods. Result: modeled prices held steady through fifteen simulated years of storms. The harder question — who measures essentials, and can that measure be captured? — is still open, and we say so.

CRASH №2 — THE CLIFF

The generous version made effort pointless.

The original safety net "topped everyone up" to the same line — so a struggling musician earning 70% of it gained nothing by working. Half the lower earners rationally quit; output fell by a quarter.

The fix: the ramp — every coin you earn adds half a coin above the guarantee, always. Effort is never pointless, and the simulated economy kept essentially all of its output.

CRASH №3 — THE HEIST

A smart thief earned 6× the floor per fake identity.

Our first fraud tests had only imagined lazy thieves. The audit caught it: optimizing rings rotating AI-generated content could quietly capture a third of all new money.

The fix: three locks — near-identical content shares one shrinking payout, earning at scale requires a stake you lose if caught, and your one lifetime identity is too valuable to rent out. Re-run against all three: the heist didn't pay in a single tested case.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF PITCH

What marketing would say — and what's actually true.

Built by one person who isn't an economist — just someone who believed we could do better, spent years unable to prove it, and finally had the tools to test whether it's true. What follows is what survived the testing. The whole story →

MARKETING WOULD SAY

"A guaranteed income for all, starting day one!"

THE TRUTH

We don't promise a floor. Under harder testing, the safety net didn't fund itself — so instead of a promise, we publish a blueprint tested across 39 adversarial simulation waves within this program, for any community or government to fund and run in public. In modeling, delivering it that way came out about a quarter cheaper than traditional welfare.

MARKETING WOULD SAY

"Trust us."

THE TRUTH

Don't. The design broke three times in testing. Every crash, every fix, and every remaining open question is published — the embarrassing originals archived beside the corrections. Check the work; that's the whole point.

A better world begins with opting into better systems.

Where does this find you? Pick the honest answer — it changes where you should go next.

THE PATH

Nothing irreversible gets built on an unproven foundation.

A deliberately sequenced staircase. Each step earns the next; no step requires believing in the last one.

Your data improves your own life LIVE NOW

EdenQuest — a free personal-growth app where the habit of constructive data collection begins. Useful on day one, even if nothing below ever launches.

02

Ship the work — and hand it to hostile experts

The essays, the white paper, the replication kit. Outside economists and hostile human review — the one review this project still hasn't had. (An out-of-family AI review now exists, hosted unedited.)

03

Run the two experiments no simulation can settle

Will institutions actually pay for data and code? (A field experiment, designed, with failure defined in advance.) And can unique human identity hold against real adversaries? (A contained pilot.) These are the hinges — we say so.

04

The floor — for whoever chooses to fund it

The tested safety-net blueprint, adoptable by any community or government on public rails: a reserve you can watch fill, activation by formula, an exit that strands no one. A progress bar, not a pledge.

Change starts with your own life.

You don't have to believe any of the above to take the first step. EdenQuest is a free, working app that helps you find out what actually makes your good days good — your data, serving you first. Step one of the staircase, live today.
